You were the cousin that always wanted to win; whether it was to the top of a tree or a race to the edge of the next field. I don't remember if it was you winning or the enjoyment that you took out of doing so that annoyed me more! However, I do remember the infectious smile, present then and on every photo I've seen of you since.

I also remember being in awe as we snuck away from our parents for you to introduce me to the music you listened to or the bands you'd just seen. I still have songs on my playlist from those days, and whilst they bring a tear to my eye now, I also recall how much fun you were to be around.
